Nigeria’s Gov. Lalong to serve President Buhari with local drink, “Zobo”

Nigeria’s north central Plateau State Government will on Monday play host to President Muhammadu Buhari alongside the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) Governors, Senate President, Ahmed Lawan, Speaker of the House of Representatives Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila and 19 Ministers.

Informing Journalists on the visit on Friday in Jos, the city capital, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Prof. Danladi Atu, told newsmen that government will present Zobo drink together with other local delicacy as souvenir to the President and the APC Governors.  

“We will use our local products such as Zobo, Acha, Irish Potatoes, etc as souvenir when the APC stalwarts visits. It has become imperative for us to start showcasing our local products to the world and use it to generate income and to grow our Small and Medium Scale Enterprise (SMEs)”, Atu said.

However, the APC governors’ visit to Jos tagged ‘peer review’ is to compare notes and to see if the ruling party is working in line with their party’s manifesto.

The city of Jos will however start receiving its August visitors from Sunday evening 24th November 2019.

“In all, Plateau will be hosting over 180 persons: this is another opportunity to showcase the State to the world, and to tell everyone that peace has returned to the State”, the SSG said.
