He said that Jesus Christ lived a simple exemplary life and preached peace, honesty, love for one another.

The Governor challenged people, irrespective of their religious or social status to not only imbibe, but put into practice those virtues at all times.

The Governor enjoined Christians to while celebrating the event with meditation and happiness, reflect seriously on their routine and spiritual deeds in the last one year and pray for better and prosperous years ahead.

He called for mutual understanding among the citizenry irrespective of their differences for the development of the society, adding that one of the responsibility of any government is to ensure security of lives and property of its citizens.
