Father rape 6 year-old daughter in Nigeria’s Plateau – Police

Police Commissioner in Nigeria north central Plateau State, Mr. Isaac Akinmoyede, have arrested two suspects who are aged  27 and 20 years old in connection to two separate rape cases in the State.

CP Akinmoyede while parading suspects on various crimes on Wednesday in Jos the capital city said a case of a man who defiled his daughter was reported to the Police at about 9am on the 8th of March 2020.

According to him: “A case of defilement was reported at Laranto Division by one Shaibu of Shagari Corner in Jos north, against one Isah Abudullahi living behind Islamic School at Bauchi road, who is aged 27, who defiled his daughter of 6 years old.

“Similarly, on the 13th of March 2020 at about 11am a woman reported to the Police that she discovered that her granddaughter, who is 4 years old was defiled by one Isaac Boniface 20 years old, living in the same compound”, the CP said.

The Police boss said both suspects have confessed to the crime and are cooling off behind bars waiting to be charged to court.

He said both the 6 year-old who was defiled by her father and the 4 year-old who was defiled by her neighbor were taken to the hospital for medical examination.

However among other cases paraded before newsmen by the Police are 6 armed robbery cases, 1 kidnapped case 1 culpable homicide case, 4 rape cases and two offences against firearms.

our correspondent reports that exhibits recovered are locally made guns, live cartridges, ammunitions, vehicles, burnt tricycles, mobile phones, tool box and burglary implements.
