A Local Government Chairman of Buruku, in Nigeria’s North-Central of Benue State, Raymond Aondoakura Zege, has built a home for an aged woman whose life was filled with sad tales of struggles, abandonment, and disappointments.
Left with no one to care for her as she is the only surviving child of her parents, destiny drew the Council Chairman of her community to her and her unpleasant sad tale of life history changed for the better.

Dooyum Naadzenga, a correspondent and Head Marketing and Promotion Sky News Africa Nigeria, wrote a heart touching story of a sudden transformation that greeted the aged woman.
He wrote: In the heart of Buruku, where the pulse of tradition and the ties of kinship beat strongest, a simple act of humanity rekindled the spirit of togetherness that defines the community. On an ordinary afternoon, Hon. Zege Raymond Aondoakura, Executive Chairman of Buruku Local Government Area, glimpsed a testament to both resilience and neglect. There, by the roadside, was Mama Mbaadoove—the last surviving daughter of the esteemed Pa Buruku Akeji—bent with age, tending her yam farm, her legacy standing in stark contrast to the humble mud hut she called home.
