The first FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup will kick off in the Philippines in just 100 days’ time
A Filipina thrill-fest is just 100 days away! The first FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup™ will, indeed, kick off in the Philippines on 21 November 2025. The 16-team field for Philippines 2025 is complete.
The hosts will be joined by Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, IR Iran, Italy, Japan, Morocco, New Zealand, Panama, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Tanzania and Thailand. The sport’s poster girl, eight-time Best Women’s Player Amandinha, will use her otherworldly skills to aid Brazil’s title tilt. The last two recipients of that award, Camila and Emilly, are also part of Wilson Saboia’s Seleção.
Nicolas Noriega will charge outstanding performers Luciana Natta and Becha Nunez with inspiring Argentina to success. The third South American side, Roberto Bruno’s Colombia, boast 20-year-old phenomenon Nicole Mancilla. The European challenge is sure to be strong. Spain coach Claudia Pons has magnificent players like the Cordoba twins, Anita Lujan, Peque and Irene Samper at her disposal. Portugal selector Luis Conceicao can count on Ana Catarina Pereira, Fifo and Janice Silva, while Francesca Salvatore will charge Renata Adamatti, undisputedly one of the biggest stars on the planet, with propelling Italy’s push. Agata Bala, for her part, was in breathtaking form for Poland in qualifying and has the tricks to unlock any team.
Asian trio Thailand, IR Iran and Japan are in the top 10 on the FIFA Futsal Women’s World Ranking. Nattamon Artkla, Ryo Egawa and Maral Torkaman will be key to their respective chances. Isabella Flanigan, who wore the No9 shirt for the Philippines at the FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023™, also dazzles her country on courts. Esther Brossard of Canada, Jasmine Demraoui of Morocco, Hannah Kraakman of New Zealand, Aisha Mnunka of Tanzania and Kenia Rangel of Panama also have the talent to illuminate Philippines 2025.
Futsal is one of the fastest-growing and most electrifying sports on the planet. It is stacked with ankle-breakers, elastic dribbles, lambretas, goalscoring goalkeepers, golazos, implausible comebacks and buzzer-beaters. You only have 100 days to wait for the fireworks to begin!
