A governorship candidate in Nigeria’s northcentral of Plateau state vying under the All Blending Party, (ABP), Mr. Samuel Dan Auta Kyarshik, has said the ABP, did not adopt the Action Democratic Party (ADP), as its governorship candidate as being speculated in a press statement signed by the ADP state publicity secretary.
Kyarshik said he still remain the governorship candidate as given the mandate by his party, adding that he will not step down for anyone.
He said those who are assuring the ADP of merger are a faction of the party who have collected money from the ADP governorship candidate, hence pledging their support.
The ABP guber candidate stated this yesterday in a press text emailed to our correspondent, debunking the assertion that the party has pitched tent with the ADP.
The statement reads in part: “Information reaching us is that the former Chairman and Secretary and some former EXCOs of the All Blending Party (ABP), in Plateau State have issued a communication to the effect that the ABP in Plateau State has adopted a governorship candidate other than my humble self, Samuel Dan Auta Kyarshik, the Lawful flag bearer of the All Blending Party (ABP) in Plateau State. This is quite unfortunate and very untrue.
“I however, disclaim such information peddled by one Raymond Amak who used to be the state chairman of the ABP in Plateau, claiming that the All Blending Party has adopted the ADP gubernatorial candidate in the state.
“This is baseless and unconstitutional, as I do not know anything about it as well as the national and zonal EXCOs and the National Working Committee (NWC), of our Party.
“For whatever it is worth, and to set the records straight, I disassociate myself with the said illegality, as does the entire party from state to national level and do again state and reassure my loyal, esteemed and responsible resilient supporters that I am still the candidate of the All Blending Party in Plateau state and that I am fully in the race and headed strongly and unhindered to the Polls; and with the unwavering support of the entire Plateau people, we shall get Plateau state out of the dungeons and not even the schemes of man such as this, or such likes, shall stop this victory”, the statement reads.
Our correspondent reports that the national leadership of the ABP will be briefing journalists soonest to further dislodge the said Raymond Amak and to reaffirm the candidature of Samuel Dan Auta Kyarshik.
It would be recalled that the Action Democratic Party had issued a statement alleging that the ABP has adopted Brig. Gen. Jon Temlong and his Deputy Dr. Daniel Mwanmut as their 2019 governorship candidate, with additional information that Mr. Amak Raymond with other members has also dumped and denounce their membership of the All Blending Party.
