Saturday's election is between ideas and clueless - Nigeria's Gov. Candidate, Temlong

NIGERIA

Nigeria’s Governor Candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP), Gen. Jon Temlong, in northcentral Plateau state, has said the governorship election coming up on Saturday is between ideas and the clueless ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).

Temlong said he is bringing on board ideas that will turn the state around against the background of a government which has brought untold hardship and wanton killings to the people of Plateau.

The guber candidate stated this while featuring on the Media Forum of the Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Plateau State Council, held in Jos the capital city recently.

He said Plateau has become the killing ground of Middle Belt due to lack of political will to address the root cause of the menaced.

“Over the years, Plateau have been a killing field in the Middle Belt and the political will to get this right is not there.

“You cannot have peace where you don’t have freedom, you cannot have peace where people are separated from their ancestral land, and you cannot have freedom when people are living in IDP camps, but the government keep laying and they don’t want people to talk about the reality”.

He however condemned the conduct of the presidential elections in the country describing it as “Militarization of Democracy” by the Buhari led government.
