Herdsmen kill millions in four years than Boko Haram - Nigerian ex Minister

NIGERIA

Nigerian former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has said Fulani herdsmen has killed more people in four years than Boko Haram.

Fani-Kayode said the herdsmen bandits has been on rampage in recent times terrorising only Christian communities without any resistance.

He said even government seems to have done nothing to arrest and prosecute the rampaging herdsmen, giving signals that the President Buhari led government is playing to the gallery on the heinous crime been committed by the killer herdsmen.

The former Minister stated this recently in Jos the capital city of Plateau State located in the north central part of Nigeria.

He spoke at a lecture tagged “Good Governance in Nigeria: The Crucial Role of The Church”.

The lecture organised by the Fellowship of Churches of Christ, held at the Bible Translation Trust of Nigeria, exposed Fani-Kayode’s listeners to the almost docile Church who only watch how followers of Christ are treated as second class citizens in their own country.

He said for good governance to thrive in the country, Nigerians must stand up and speak against evil.

“Nigeria is key to God ends time plan: over the last 100 years, thousands of Christians in the north central part of Nigeria have been killed through genocide. Things will not change until Christians becomes the light of the world.

“Strange things happens to Christians in Nigeria: the purpose of the Church is to identify good leaders and pray for them”.

The erudite spokesman for the campaign organisation of the former President of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan, also said that true education can only come from studying the word of God.

“All your education acquired in school means nothing until you study the Bible. I challenge Christians in Nigeria to rise and take their destiny in their hands.

“Christians must resist the ongoing marginalisation and other forms of evil, being perpetrated by the present administration in the country.

“This is obvious through the appointments made by the President denying Christians of sensitive key political positions in the country.

“All the 17 heads of security chiefs are headed by Muslims, as well as the three arms of the President Buhari’s administration which are the Executive, Legislature and Judiciary are all led by Muslims.

“The President is a Muslim, the heads of the Legislature both at the Senate and House of Representatives are Muslims, the Chief Judge is of the same faith, and 16 out of the 17 Commanders of our security agencies are Muslims”.

Fani-Kayode expressed dissatisfaction with the way and manner President Buhari is handling the rescue of Miss Leah Sharibu, whom Boko Haram captured alongside other female students of Girls Secondary School Dapchi in Yobe State north-west part of the country over a year ago.

“I can tell you that Leah Sharibu, is still in Boko Haram captivity because she refused to denounce her Christian Faith”, he said.
