NGO sponsored 100 Nigerian children to school in September

Non-governmental organisation (NGO), known as Multipurpose Cooperative Society has sponsored 100 children in Nigeria’s Plateau State back to School in the month of September, 2024, with their school fees fully paid for one year.
Costing N28,000 each to sponsor one child, Kariann McCullough an American who came to Nigeria on a missionary work , said it gave her joy to be used by God to accomplish the effort.
Working with her Nigerian partner, Esther Oji, McCullough said the goodwill will continue as God has called her to do His work in Nigeria.
Mrs Oji, also speaking with our correspondent, said the pain of dropping out of school at a tender age triggered her passion for the humanitarian service she is rendering.
According to her, “From the depths of my struggles, I discovered my true passion. The pain of dropping out of school at the tender age of 14, and entering into an early marriage felt like the shattering of my childhood aspirations.
“Yet, from that very hardship sprang a profound desire to uplift the underprivileged and ensure that every child has the opportunity to pursue their dreams through education.
“This drive has manifested in various initiatives, including establishing a discipleship program in primary schools and providing scholarships to deserving students.
“This year, we are proud to sponsor 100 children, investing 28,000 in their futures, empowering them to remain in school and strive towards their own dreams.
“In my journey, I have transformed personal adversity into a beacon of hope for others, igniting a movement dedicated to fostering education and opportunity for all”, she said.
The registered NGO in Nigeria is seeking support from well meaning citizens both home and abroad to make their contribution for the sustenance of sending children to school.
