Nigerian gov reaffirms partnership with youth on peace, national dev’t

Nigeria
Nigerian government has once again underscored its commitment to working closely with the nation’s youth to promote peace, stability, and sustainable national development under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
This assurance was given yesterday by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, during a courtesy visit from the Niger Delta Progressive Youth Leadership Foundation (NDPYLF) delegation, led by its National President, Chief Diplomat Adam Ogomugo Marbo, in Abuja.

Represented by the Permanent Secretary Overseeing the General Services Office, Mohammed Sanusi Danjuma, the SGF emphasized that the administration under President Tinubu is keen on actively engaging young Nigerians as critical partners in fostering unity and peace across the country. He stressed that sustainable development is unattainable without stability and peace.
Mohammed Sanusi Danjuma highlighted an upcoming collaborative strategy that will involve various Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) and the private sector to create a conducive environment that empowers youths by providing them with access to opportunities. This, he said, would enable them to make meaningful contributions to Nigeria’s economic growth and national progress.
Chief Diplomat Adam Ogomugo Marbo, speaking on behalf of the NDPYLF, reaffirmed the foundation’s dedication to mobilizing Nigerian youth nationwide—across all six geopolitical zones. The foundation aims to promote unity, peace-building, leadership development, and youth empowerment as pillars of sustainable development in Nigeria.
This engagement between the Federal Government and youth groups marks a significant step towards harnessing the potential of Nigeria’s youthful population in building a peaceful and prosperous nation.
