Nigeria’s Benue Digital Coy enhances collaboration with Galaxy Backbone

A high-powered delegation from Benue Digital Infrastructure Company (BDIC) PLC yesterday paid a courtesy visit to Galaxy Backbone (GBB) in Abuja to deepen collaboration aimed at accelerating digital transformation across Nigeria’s northcentral Benue State.
The BDIC team was led by Jacob Ayua, Chief Technology Officer, alongside Mr. Owoicho Igoji, Chief of Staff/SA to the MD/CEO; Engr. Teryima Akaade, Chief Technology Officer – Infraco; Charles Luper Iorkyoso, Group Head of Special Projects; Gabriel Nwankwo, Head of Software; Mr. Ikomi, Monitoring and Evaluation Lead; and Dooyum Naadzenga, Head of Marketing and Media, among others.
The visit focused on leveraging combined expertise to enhance Benue’s digital infrastructure by tapping into Galaxy Backbone’s extensive experience in digital services and infrastructure management. This partnership reflects BDIC’s strategic intent to build robust and scalable digital platforms that will deliver improved public services and boost state governance through technology.
Jacob Ayua emphasized the importance of GBB’s support in achieving BDIC’s mandate to architect and operate digital networks and services for Benue State. The collaboration with Galaxy Backbone enables BDIC to accelerate deployment of advanced cloud computing, cybersecurity, and data center solutions tailored to the state’s unique needs.
Mr. Owoicho Igoji highlighted the visit as a milestone in strengthening institutional ties critical for sustainable digital development.
