Nigeria’s Gov Mutfwang condoles with giant Pipe Producer NELMACO, over wife’s death

The Plateau State Governor in northcentral Nigeria, Caleb Mutfwang, on Thursday paid a condolence visit to a Jos based Pipe manufacturer,  Amb. Nelson Mkparu over the death of his wife, Ifeoma Mkparu.

Mkparu, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), NELMACO Global Resources, lost his wife a couple of months ago in the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH), our correspondent reports.

Consoling the family, Mutfwang who was accompanied by top government functionaries prayed to God to grant Mkparu the fortitude to bear the loss.

He also prayed that God will grant Mkparu the grace haven left with the task of caring for the children alone.

“Take heart for the loss of your wife, which you lost at a very young age of 49. Only God will comfort you and grant you the wisdom to take care of the Children.

“May the heavens welcome the soul of our daughter with the same generosity and kindness he bestowed upon humanity throughout her years on earth”, he said.

Mutfwang lauded the Igbo towering statures in the State, saying that the government has high regards for the Igbo community.

According to him: “It is a community that has always stood for Plateau. They stand with the State even at difficult times. If the Igbos have not occupied a good space in the State, a lot would have gone wrong.

“We appreciate that you have made Plateau your home. It is because you made Plateau your home, that you have invested billions in the State”, he said.

In his remarks, the President General, Igbo Community Association (ICA) Jos, Chief Mike Okunonke praised the Governor for finding out time to condole with the Mkparu’s family.

Okunonke said the gesture demonstrates the Governor’s simplicity and love for the Igbo community.

He said the friendly environment made possible by the Governor for citizens to coexist and thrive in their businesses, will motivate the Igbos to vote massively for Mutfwang come 2027 elections.

Also responding, on behalf of the Mkparu’s family, an Igbo Chieftain, Mr Anselm Uzochukwu, said the presence of the Governor shows a mark of honour for the departed and also a deep source of comfort and strength to the mourning family.

On ground to receive the Governor, was the Senior Special Adviser to the Governor on Igbo Affairs, Chief Felix Akpunku.
