Nigeria’s Minister Doro, seeks support for President Tinubu
Nigeria
Minister for Humanitarian affairs and poverty eradication Dr Bernard Doro, on Tuesday held a meeting with several stakeholders in the Northern Senatorial District of Plateau state with a call on them to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
Speaking at the occasion Doro said President Tinubu has taken critical and tough decisions that have repositioned the country and set it on the path of economic recovery.
Doro who expressed his appreciation to President Tinubu for his appointment and his “unwavering support” for the administration promised to work diligently to deliver on his responsibilities .
Let us join hands and walk together , we are capable of achieving any result if we come together. We can deliver for the APC, and we can deliver for Mr President come 2027.
The Renewed Hope Agenda is committed to showcasing visionary leadership rooted in inclusivity, progressive governance and strong institutions.
“President Tinubu is committed to improving the lives of all Nigerians, enabling them to experience the benefits of Renewed Hope and Democratic dividends”, he continued.
He also said ” I would like to also appreciate the National Chairman of the APC, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda , for his contribution in ensuring that the ministerial appointment came from the Northern Zone.”.
He added that ” Nigeria has approximately 230 million people. Out of that number, about 63 per cent are multidimensionally poor. By international definition, a poor person is someone who does not have a disposable income of $2.15 per day, which is about ₦3,500. If you do not earn that daily disposable income, you are classified as poor, and 63 per cent of Nigerians fall into that category. The extremely poor account for about 30 per cent.”
Why am I sharing these statistics? It is to show the enormity of the responsibility that Mr President has placed on us. We are meant to make a dent in these numbers, responding to emergencies, addressing crises, and providing humanitarian support.
‘ I can assure you that in the last seven to eight weeks, we have reviewed the ministry and repositioned it. ‘
“Building on the foundation laid by our national chairman, we have developed clear policies that, once implemented, will make a real impact. Our desire is to see a country where no man or woman is left behind.”
I am here to assure you that, as your son, I want to make you proud by delivering on the task before me .
“Let us join hands and walk together. Let us reclaim our rightful position in Plateau State., he added .
