Nigeria’s Plateau youths tasks philanthropist Chun, to join federal lawmakers’ race in 2027

Impressed by the socio-economic and philanthropic initiatives of Pharmacist John Chun ,a group in Nigeria’s northcentral Plateau State, operating under the ageis of Riyom and Barkin Ladi Youths Mobilisation and Enlightenment Forum on Monday called on him to contest for the Federal Constituency seat in the 2027 House of Representatives elections.
The group pledged to work rigorously to ensure victory for Pharmacist John Chun if he decides to contest the election.
The forum believes that if Pharmacist John Chun contests and wins, he could expand further his humanitarian services across Riyom and Barkin Ladi Local Government, benefitting even more constituents.
In a statement made available to reporters in Jos ,Emmanuel Tok and Regina Ambrose the representatives of the forum, praised Pharmacist John Chun’s significant contributions to the state , particularly his efforts at empowering Youths, women and the elderly.
They highlighted John Chun’s legacy of community service, acknowledging his support for orphans and vulnerable individuals in Riyom and Barkin Ladi Local government of the state as well as empowering young people through self-reliance projects.
The forum emphasised Pharmacist John Chun’s selfless service and commitment to youth empowerment, making him an ideal candidate to represent Riyom/ Barkin Ladi Constituency at the federal level.
“He has consistently prioritised service over self-interest ,Imagine the impact he could have with a bigger platform,” the group said.
The call for Chun’s candidacy reflects growing demand for transformative leadership in our community, we are confident in him and would support this movement with the whole of our strength, they added.
