The nomination and screening processes, conducted from June through September 2025, were managed by an independent Nomination Committee chaired by renowned public intellectual and media professional Simon Imobo-Tswam, with seasoned journalist Ifeoma Nkem serving as Secretary. 

This meticulous process was guided by media recommendations and Independent Media Governance Assessment reports covering May 2024 to May 2025.

The list of nominees was officially released on October 1, 2025, putting them in the public spotlight ahead of a nationwide voting exercise set to begin on October 15 and conclude on November 30, 2025. 

Each vote costs ₦100, allowing broad voter participation. Voting details and the official link will be shared via the PVC-Naija website. Winners will be democratically chosen by Nigerians, ensuring an authentic reflection of the people’s voice.

Award Categories Speak to All Levels of Leadership. The awards highlight political icons, development agents, and public officials from governors to local government chairmen, recognizing those whose leadership significantly impacts security, education, agriculture, and other critical sectors.
