Security beefs up as Nigeria’s Gov Mutfwang expects dignitaries at son’s wedding, Saturday

Jos, the Nigeria’s Plateau State capital will on Saturday play host to monuments personalities and top politicians who will troop in to grace the occasion of Governor Mutfwang’s son’s wedding Timothy, as he will be joined in a holy matrimony with his heartthrob Anastasia.

The wedding is slated October 18th, 2025.

However, the guests which will also include traditional rulers, captains of industry and members of the diplomatic community, will also have the opportunity, just like President Bola Tinubu did, to witness the transformational changes in the State as piloted by the Governor since he assumed office in May 29, 2023.

Recall that President Tinubu was in Jos recently during the burial ceremony of the mother of the APC National Chairman, Prof Nentawe Yilwatda.

Tinubu’s mouth was agape throughout the visit as confirmed by the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, that Tinubu was transfixed with the upgrade of the city, wondering if it was the Jos he used to know.

“The road infrastructure most especially wowed the President”, Akpabio had said,

Anyways, as observed on Friday, October 17, 2025, security is currently being deployed in strategic locations to add safety in the already peaceful environment as midwifed by Mutfwang.

Also, society watchers are seen being discussed in circles on the person of Timothy Mutfwang, saying that unlike other Governors kids, he has remained unnoticed, with the understanding that his father is the Governor and not him.

“If not for this wedding, nobody would have known that Governor Mutfwang has grown-up children”, a pundit was quoted saying.

“If all First Family children will be like this, then the country will witness less madness from the children of those in power”, another political watcher said.

THE WEDDING::

According to family sources, a planning committee has been meeting in the past few weeks in preparation for the occasion.

The groom, Timothy Mutfwang will exchange vows with Anastasia, the daughter of one Chief Nanyah Daman, a publisher of a local tabloid, the News Gate and News Crest Magazine.

Residents are anticipating a ceremony that will be one of the biggest political and social gatherings in recent times.
