United Nigeria Airlines Returns to south-south Warri

United Nigeria Airlines is set to reconnect air travelers with the bustling city of Warri as it relaunched scheduled flights from Lagos and Abuja directly to Osubi Airport starting Monday, 25 August 2025.

This move signifies a strategic step in improving regional connectivity and enhancing business and leisure travel for passengers within Nigeria’s vibrant aviation sector says the airline operator.

The reintroduction of the Warri route comes as part of United Nigeria Airlines’ broader commitment to offering dependable and customer-centric air services across the country. The airline aims to address the growing demand for efficient travel options that link major economic hubs and emerging cities, fostering closer ties between people and businesses.

“Warri remains a critical destination in our network, and we are proud to restore this vital air link,” said Mazi Osita Okonkwo, Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director of United Nigeria Airlines. “Our customers can expect the punctuality, safety, and high-quality service that have become synonymous with our brand.”

Osubi Airport has increasingly become a crucial gateway for Delta State and the Niger Delta region’s commercial activities, making its inclusion in United Nigeria Airlines’ route map an important development. This service is expected to enhance trade, tourism, and economic growth in the region by providing reliable access to Nigeria’s key cities.

Alongside the Warri relaunch, United Nigeria Airlines is expanding its domestic network with new routes, including direct flights from Lagos and Abuja to Ilorin and from Abuja to Sokoto. These routes aim to further open up the country’s interior, supporting decentralized economic activities and regional development.

Looking beyond national borders, the airline plans to initiate international flights from Lagos and Abuja to Accra, Ghana, starting 17 October 2025. This international expansion reflects the airline’s ambition to become a major West African carrier, facilitating cross-border travel and commerce.

Tickets for the newly resumed Warri flights are currently available for purchase on the United Nigeria Airlines official website and other major booking platforms. Travelers looking to explore the Niger Delta region can now enjoy convenient and efficient services with schedules tailored to meet diverse travel needs.

United Nigeria Airlines’ return to Warri is a positive sign for the Nigerian aviation industry as the sector continues to recover and grow post-pandemic. With this enhanced network, the airline reaffirms its role as a vital link connecting Nigeria’s cities and fostering nationwide progress.
