NIGERIA

Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari, on Saturday in Jos, northcentral city of Plateau state, during the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), rally, was smuggled out of the Stadium due to uncontrollable mammoth crowed that thronged the rally venue.

The crowd which turned violent became impossible for security operatives to manage especially when Buhari’s convoy made his way into the stadium.

It took over 15 minutes for the President and the state Governor, Simon Lalong, to exit the vehicle as the crowd became increasingly uncontrollable.

The APC presidential flag bearer couldn’t make a single speech as the microphone wires were destroyed and the podium in which the President was suppose to mount was overtaken by the crowd.

Buhari’s vehicle and his convoy were almost destroyed by the irate youths who climbed on top of the car roofs, as some of the windscreens were also smashed

Unable to control the crowd, securities attached to the President advised him to leave the stadium as the only alternative to disperse the crowd.

Buhari was smuggled through the back exit of the stadium, leaving without making a single speech.

The miscreants however began to move valuable items at the venue, such as the red carpet which the President was suppose to walk on, chairs, and other decorations used to beautify the stadium.
