May Day: Nigeria’s Lagos Trade Fair CEO Ndanusa, felicitates with Nigerian workers

The Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer, Nigeria’s Lagos International Trade Fair Management Board, Barr. Veronica Ndanusa, has felicitated with Nigerian workers as they joined others across the world in celebrating the 2024 International Workers’ Day.

In a goodwill message issued by her Special Assistant, Ms Fatima Sonia, Ndanusa described workers as partners in progress, assuring that the President Bola Tinubu’s administration would continue to sustain and deepen the existing friendly working environment and industrial harmony in the country.

She described as apt and timely this year’s May Day theme: “Ensuring Safety and Health At Work in a Changing Climate”, saying that it is in line with Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope Agenda”.

According to her: “Workers have been partners in progress with President Tinubu’s administration especially in the area of service delivery, ensuring that the President delivered the dividends of democracy and good governance.

“The President will continue to strive to ensure that workers get the best and their welfare will continue to be the priority of the government.

“I therefore urge you not to relent in your support for this administration and to always discharge your duties efficiently and effectively.

“I am hopeful that this administration will continue to do its best to live up to its responsibilities and cater for the workers within available resources.

“I call for collective sacrifice and solidarity in the midst of daunting socio-economic challenges”, She said.

While acknowledging the cooperation of the organised labour with this administration, Ndanusa assured that the Nigerian government will continue to remain favourably disposed towards the welfare of workers.
