The National Youth Leader, Congress of Northern Nigeria Christians, Engr. Daniel Kadzai, has challenged the Arewa youths to come up with verifiable facts on their call for the resignation of the Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
Kadzai, furious over the excessive utterance of the group, asked if the Arewa youths owned Nigeria, wondering what gave them the impetus to always make demands on national issues.
Recall that a group called the Arewa Conglomerates had yesterday called for the resignation of the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio.
Calling the demand irresponsible, Kadzai who is also a former National President, Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria, YOWICAN and Chairman of Interfaith Coalition Conference, described the move as flimsy excuses that do not hold water.
Speaking with our correspondent on Wednesday in a telephone conversation, the CAN-Scribe man said since the emergence of President Bola Tinubu as the President of Nigeria, following his appointment of a Southerner as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), and the emergence of a Southerner as the Senate President, the north under the umbrella of the Arewa group have been uncomfortable.
Recalling most of their accusations as baseless, Kadzai said the people to blame for the country’s woes are the previous government who ran the country down with their clueless policies.
He said the Buhari’s administration shut the country’s borders down causing food shortages across Nigeria, adding that the Fulani herdsmen who are killing farmers in their numbers also did not allow people to go to farm thereby causing food shortages across board.
“President Tinubu who is not even one year in office cannot not be blamed as he is doing everything to ensure that Nigeria regains its pride as the giant of Africa.
“The FCT Minister, Nyesome Wike, is driving the Renewed Hope Agenda, by changing the face of Abuja, as well as the Minister of Works who is making history with his blueprint engineering technical knowledge to change the face of our highways.
“Akpabio is stamping his foot on the ground ensuring it is not business as usual in the Senate”, he said.
Kadzai called on the Arewa group to stop assuming that they own Nigeria by not supporting anything that is not northen Muslim in nature.
“They are only angry because this is the first time a Southerner is assuming the office of the Federal Capital Territory”, he said.
